IN HIS OWN WORDS

Beginnings: I started when I was five years old, just in a little kid’s league, just like any other kid. My dad played semi-pro in the leagues around Los Angeles in the 70s and 80s, so that’s how that whole thing got started.
Chivas USA: It’s a privilege; it’s a great place to be. When I came here, we were in a tough spot but we’ve grown in two years into a serious contender and now the last step is to win some stuff.
Music: Lately I’ve been listening to a group called Muse, and Jay-Z’s “Blue Magic.” That’s the latest in the deck.
For fun: I just like being outdoors, so I spend time at the beach, I like to hunt, or hang out with family and friends. We also have a lot of downtime so I’ll read, and I also enjoy cooking.”
Other sports: Growing up in Los Angeles, I’m an LA sports fan: the Lakers especially. I grew up watching Magic and Worthy and Kareem and those guys.
